DFW

You know…I didn’t see a single cowboy hat, even at the airport. But DFW did supply some other treats.

Zeus Comics | Dallas Eagle

What a leap year this was!

Ducking out from day-job duties, I attended probably my best and most fun in-store appearance ever! The gang at Zeus Comics went all-out to make sure people showed up for me, and bought all the books I could sell!

We continued on to The Dallas Eagle, where I was guest of honor for their comics event. They even created a cocktail in honor of me (my comics). I have never had the red carpet rolled out for me so warmly! The walls of the men’s room—no shocker—was covered with dirty drawings. Borrowing Zack’s Sharpie, I added one while I clowned around with him and Ty.

If you are ever in Dallas, you must stop by Zeus and the Eagle.

Dallas

I was in Dallas for my day job. I was told it was a dump, but I really didn’t think it was. The first day I was there, I was really headachey so had to spend some sleep-time in my hotel. Seeking fresh air, I walked along the Katy Trail. I was taking pics of the various flora and fauna, when a cyclist stopped to be “friendly”? I couldn’t tell! Returning to the trail, I stumbled upon a little enclave of Spanish-mission architecture, cafes, and fancy shops…including the DWR. It was much larger than the one Adam manages, and they had a Swan Chair on the floor! I was excited to sit in it. It was uncomfortable.
