Young Samson and Goliath

I've been combing through old sketchbooks looking for travel sketches and couldn't resist scanning this old gem. It's "Young Samson" from the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

Take a guy who looks like a college wrestler in a tight shirt and tight pants, send him roaming around the country on his scooter with his lapdog looking for trouble.

When he finds said trouble, he connects his leather wristbands to transform into a bodybuilder in a skimpy outfit and a bob.

When his super-strength isn't enough to save the day, another connection of the leather wristbands transforms his dog into a lion that can shoot laser beams from his eyes.

Nice.

Ah, I always have a soft spot for any cartoon voiced by Tim Matheson. Have you ever done a Johnny Quest or Race Bannon?

A lion that can shoot laser through his beams?! Waow, that's awesome. King of reminded me of something. they probably aired it also in France.
Makes me wonder if it inspired Amadeus Cho, the boy teeming with Hercules, always on a scooter, with a little dog.

I had totally forgotten this one. You need to do a story of him... and his little dog, too!
